ABOUT RAWAI
Staying at THE PROUD RAWAI, you will be within a walking distance from well-developed infrastructure with seafood and fruit shops, as well as restaurants with Thai, European, Indian and Russian cuisines. There are bars with live music, where you can party till the morning. Exchange offices and ATMs are also nearby. You can buy essentials at the nearest 7/11, Family Mart, Tesko Express. There are many taxi drivers and tuk-tuks along the street.
Macro Food, one of Phuket's largest supermarkets, is within a 15-minute drive from the complex. Since the apartments are equipped with a kitchen, you can go there to buy seafood, meat, fruits, fish, dairy products, etc. Here, 1 kg of fresh shrimp costs 230 baht. There is a regular seafood market in the Sea Gypsy Village, at the eastern end of the beach.
Rawai beach is romantic and pleasant with plenty of trees providing shade that allows you to make a picnic with your beloved.
Phromthep Cape - 10 minutes driving from THE PROUD
Phromthep Cape offers excellent views of Phuket and the Andaman Sea, making it one of the island's most photographed locations. It gets especially packed in the evening, with large tour buses, scooters and private cars sweeping through Rawai Beach and up the island's southernmost hill in order to watch the sunset at its peak. For those who like dining with a view, head over to Promthep Cape Restaurant for an excellent vista of Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches.
Phuket Smart Bus stops – within 5 minutes walking from THE PROUD
Phuket Smart Bus is an affordable way to travel around the Phuket beaches at a reasonable price. Its route runs from Phuket International Airport to Rawai Beach. The route includes 12 stops on almost every beach on the west coast: on Bangtao Beach, on Surin Beach, on Kamal Beach, on Patong Beach, on Karon Beach, on Kata Beach and, finally, on Rawai Beach. The fare is incredibly cheap, from 50 baht for the shortest distance to 170 baht for the longest trip.

Nai Harn beach
Nai Harn beach is listed as one of the best beaches in Asia and one of the best beaches in Thailand in the TripAdvisor Travelers 'Choice Beach Awards. Whether you would prefer a shaded spot under the palm trees or a place in the sun, there's plenty of room on this dazzling white sand beach. A huge advantage is a river with warm and clear water which is fun and safe for kids Nai Harn kids corner.
Yanui beach
Yanui beach is a sheltered cove with fine-grained white sand and incredibly clear azure waters. It is located between Promthep Viewpoint and Naiharn Beach. Yanui is just 1 km away away from the The Proud Rawai or 2 minutes by car. This little cove is ideal for snorkeling and it is beloved by many families. At Yanui you can rent masks with snorkels, kayaks or stand up paddleboards.
Ao Sane beach
This rocky beach is located in the shade of tall trees on the southwest coast of Phuket. Since this beach is relatively unknown, amenities are less extensive than elsewhere; there are small bungalows and a restaurant nearby. Although relatively few tourists know of the beach, it is very popular among divers and snorkelers because it is exceptionally beautiful underwater.
Bon island beach
Bon Island is a small beautiful island that is just 15-20 minutes away from Rawai beach by a longtail boat. The island is best suited for day trips. It has two beautiful white sand beaches, extensive corals and superb views. It also boasts of a renowned restaurant (run by an Englishwoman named Dawn) which serves quality local food.
Coral island (Koh Hey)
Only 10 minutes by a speedboat from Rawai. This fairly large island drowning in greenery has beautiful beaches with developed infrastructure. Every day Banana Beach hosts hundreds of tourists from Phuket who come here to enjoy all kinds of tropical vacation. There you can dive with a scuba, swim with a mask enjoying dozens of species of bright fish, fly with a parachute after a speedboat, ride a water ski or simply sunbathe on the beach. You can have a snack in a restaurant hidden by the hotel in the shade of palms, and in the evening, on the beach, there is a small bar with cocktails. Once in Phuket, be sure to visit.
Racha Yai island
Just 25 minutes by a speedboat from Rawai. It's just an amazing place! The island preserves pristine beauty, and the color of water in the Bungalow and Siam Bays competes in its saturation with the famous Similan islands. Behind the dazzling white beaches in the shadow of this jungle five-star hotels are located. There is a spa complex which was recognized as the best in the world in 2017. There is no transport on the island, and all guests can safely walk along the paths that lead to both the western and the eastern coast, which allows you to admire both the dawns and romantic sunsets.
